Announcement: Living Green Award Recognizes Eco-Conscious Purchase Practices
We celebrated Earth Day on April 22nd as the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement. However, sustainability isn’t a single day activity. It’s a year-round commitment to systematic changes that will sustain our planet.
This year we're proud to announce that CompuCom is debuting our Living Green award. This award recognizes select customers who have demonstrated through their green purchase practices a continuous commitment to sustainability stewardship.
The criteria for receiving the award was that customers making significant product purchases in Electronic Product Environmental Assessment (EPEAT) certified product categories had over 80% of their purchased products rated as EPEAT Gold. The Global Electronics Council manages the EPEAT ecolabel criteria and identifies products from a broad range of manufacturers as meeting EPEAT ratings of Bronze, Silver or Gold.
Our Living Green Awards represent our most sincere appreciation of our customers’ commitment to environmental sustainability. We view sustainability as a team effort, and we are happy that our customers acknowledge the environmental impact their technology purchases have on our planet.
